As you can see, Milan’s most famous and symbolic monument,
Il Duomo, is easily reachable by public transport
with just a few stops on the underground. This magnificent dome
is the pride of the great Cathedral of Milan – the seat of
the Archbishop of Milan and an invaluable historical site. Started
in the 14th century and not completed until the 19th century, this
stunning building is not only famous for its lavish gothic architecture
but also for its role throughout history.
The Hotel San Carlo Milan is also ideally located
among some of the city’s finest museums as well as fine Milanese
restaurants and of course – what else is Milan famous for?
